Details of a recent photoshoot featuring the male model Maximilian S by photographer Phil Nguyen caused us to delve a little deeper into the QZ brand aka ‘Quadrigae Zeus’. Well, with photos like this you wouldn’t you?

This unique and exclusive London-based luxury brand is not available on the high street. The designs are by designer Jan Bertelsen who targets the brand squarely at an upmarket audience. As such they do not come cheap – but then they do use Swarovski crystals to monogram their logo on many of the pieces!

Styles include boxers, briefs, jock straps, g-strings, T-shirts, vests, tanktops and the iconic QZ wrap;

D.HEDRAL launch seamless range

D.Hedral have launched a new range of seamless briefs for SS2013 which includes their ‘anglefit’ technology for that ‘bubblebutt’ look. Former Scotland rugby player Thom Evans is still signed as their model for the season and shows his package off nicely in these black briefs…

We featured the innovative new range of underwear from D.HEDRAL in a post last year (D.Hedral Anglefit underwear) and soon they are heading to the beach with a new range of swim briefs. The best part for us bulge watchers is they have managed to snag a former Scottish international rugby union player, Thom Evans, into modelling the range (looks like Kelly Brook is a very lucky girl!).

ARE YOU A MUMMY’S BOY?

They keep on coming thick and fast. Yep, yet another underwear brand launched in Australia at the back end of last year. They have tried to embody a sporting and outgoing lifestyle, inspired by an ever changing street and urban culture. It seems a bit of a tenuous link but they claim their custom designs and vibrant colours reflect the love, joy and happiness one shares with one’s Mum and that it doesn’t matter what your background as at the end of the day everyone is a mummy’s boy. I am sure their publicity and marketing means well but it all seems just a little contrived.

Created in 2010 by founder Paul Muliaga the brand launched it’s .com website at a party in Sydney, Australia last November (video on their site). They want to bring a unique, affordable and comfy brand of underwear to the marketplace – hardly a USP but they do have high hopes and some fairly striking colorways in their initial offerings.

Is this brand the result of insufficient market research in a truly global marketplace? the name ‘Mummy’s Boy’ is widely accepted as an almost derogatory term for any male who doesn’t fit the traditional macho male stereotype. To be fair though, we suspect their tongue is firmly in their cheek – either way it made us smile.

AC GOES EAST

Andrew Christian, the Hollywood iconic underwear brand has recently made an inaugural runway showcase in Malaysia. The line-up of intricately designed styles featuring underwear in street, sport, fashion, and basics-themed lines made it a heady event for men’s fashion enthusiasts. Hundreds turned-out to witness the AC range in what was, compared to those in the West, a much more compact and claustrophobic catwalk – but it does make for better close ups where it counts! If you have a thing for Asian men in their underwear you can’t pas this up…

C-IN2 FW2012

As we continue the Autumnal theme C-IN2 announce their fall/winter collection (or for those in the EU, Autumn/Winter (AW)) collection with a newmarketing video “C-IN2 Fall/Winter 2012: Leaves Changing, Bodies Blooming”. It was shot on location in Tuscany and features the fashion photography prowess of Rick Day.
It features new fall & winter inspired colors for each 7 of C-IN2’s groundbreaking lines of underwear and is a very arty piece indeed – the fast cutaways however do make it quite distracting and a little difficult to concentrate on all those bulges! See what ya think…

I know we are encouraged to get in touch with our ‘feminine side’, balance our ying and yang etc., but there seems to be a worrying trend in male underwear to venture toward a more feminine look in our undies. Take these latest offerings from ‘Male Power’;

Is it just me or does this attempt to replicate a rough, grungy & torn effect appear much more lace-like and feminine. To each their own of course, it may not be to everyone’s personal taste – just doing our bit to highlight industry trends and show you some nice packages into the bargain!

NEW CIN2 ‘GRIP’ UNDIES

CIN2 have developed a ‘high performance moisture transport’ product – that’s ‘wicking’ to you and me. They have given cotton a special treatment that moves moisture from the inside to the outside…. yep, still sounds like ‘wicking’. Anyhow, if it’s good enough for Daniel Garofali then maybe we should give them a go… or better still just enjoy watching him giving them a go.

HOM AW2012

The new HOM selection for Autumn/Winter 2012 is now available – model Miguel Iglesias is chosen yet again by the French clothing company to slide his hot frame into their new range for the fall. It’s split into several styles: business; HO1; temptation; black addict; sport and e.go. As with all HOM offerings, they are stylish, elegant and refined. We feature two, chosen with no science other than how visible Miguel’s bulge is 🙂
